Introduction to Herbal Healing


"Introduction to Herbal Healing" is a six-week series on herbs and herbal medicine taught by herbalist and aromatherapist, Chin Velasquez.

Immerse yourself in the world of Herbalism with this 6-week course, and come away knowing how to apply the benefits of medicinal herbs into your personal health and wellness plan. Herbalist and Aromatherapist Chin Velasquez designed this course for beginners who want to learn about herbs and start using them in their daily lives. Students will learn how to formulate various herbal products, including herbal teas, tinctures (extracts), syrups, oxymels, salves, crèmes, and body oils. Learn to identify many herbs growing in the wild as well as those cultivated in the garden. In-depth discussion of harvest techniques, drying and storing of herbs. The last class session is entitled, “Creating Your Home Kitchen Apothecary.”

$25.00 materials fee will be collected on the first night of class
