Industrial Maintenance Mechanics (IMMs) install, build, set up, tear down, maintain and repair manufacturing plant equipment and production line systems in businesses and factories. These highly-skilled workers ensure that fabrication processes operate as designed, with a thorough knowledge of mechanical systems including conveyors, motors, pumps, robotics and many other components that form the complex systems found in modern manufacturing.
IMM Level 3 focuses on Precision Measuring Tools, Advanced Trade Math, Installing Bearings, Installing Couplings, Installing Belt and Chain Drives, Setting Baseplates and Prealignment, Conventional Alignment, and Installing Mechanical Seals. Prerequisite: IMM Level 2.
