Advance yourself with the necessary skills to be a successful career welder. Built according to local industry demands with a focus on fabrication/welding shop conditions, our Professional Welder programs provide a well-rounded experience to help you get to work quickly!
SMAW-3G starts with 36 hours of foundational essentials in safety, general shop knowledge and practice, tools and equipment, blueprint reading and welding symbols, oxy-fuel cutting and welding, and plasma putting, then moves into the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW/stick welding) process for 40 hours of intensive lab experience to help you master your craft and earn the American Welding Society (AWS) SMAW 1G, 2G, and 3G qualifications.
Tuition includes all instructional materials and qualification testing. Welding shield and jacket are provided, but you will need to bring appropriate footwear, gloves, safety glasses, and personal hand tools as outlined by the instructor at the beginning of the class.
